A secluded cove, Kovalam beach is just 16 kms away from Trivandrum . An expanse of shiny sand cambers into a semicircle that is enclosed on one side and cerulean blue waters and on the other side, by a luxurious stretch of jade palm groves.

Kovalam comprises of three consecutive small curved beaches; the southern most known as Lighthouse Beach , is where most of the visitors fritter their time. The beach is bounded with economical accommodations, and eateries which offer sufficient amenities, at reasonable tariffs. The light house on the headland at the southern end of the beach, offers a fantastic sight across to the Vizhinjam mosque.

Way To Kovalam

By Road – By road, Kovalam is well connected by government and private buses and taxies to other parts of the state and neighboring areas. City bus charges less than Rs 10 from Trivandrum to Kovalam.

By Rail – Thampanur railway station in Trivandrum is an important rail head of the Southern Railway and is well linked to major towns up country as well as within the State just 15 Kilometers from Kovalam.

By Air –Nearest airport is Trivandrum International airport which is about 15 km away from Kovalam.
